Catching Up

Catching Up is an independently produced animated series following the regulars of an under-18 nightclub night — bouncers, DJs, dancers and the various kids who show up every week to blow off steam. The pilot sets up a tight ensemble cast and a single chaotic night that doesn't go the way anyone expects.

The show leans into hangout-comedy energy first, building out its characters' petty rivalries and running jokes before letting the night's actual stakes creep in.

As an early-stage indie series, Catching Up is still building out its world one episode at a time, but its pilot already established a recognizable cast and a strong sense of place — the club itself functions almost like a character, with its own house rules, regulars and inside jokes.
