David Axel Cázares Casanova, better known as Sr. Pelo, was born October 23, 1992 in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico. He began creating art on DeviantArt in 2007 under the name I-Freez, doing fan art and original characters, then moved into Flash animations and short cartoons. He started his YouTube channel in 2008, although he didn’t begin posting animation content regularly until around 2011. His early works included “X is…” (satirical animations about public figures) and later the parody series Mokey’s Show, which satirizes Disney’s Mickey Mouse characters. These series helped him gain a dedicated following. Over time, with viral parodies of video games like Team Fortress 2, Super Mario, Undertale, and his seasonal series Spooky Month, Sr. Pelo’s fame rose significantly.

Unique Voice Acting Style

Sr. Pelo is known for a very expressive, often exaggerated style of voice acting. He uses loud vocal bursts, screams, strange noises, and rapid shifts of tone, often doing many characters himself. In Underpants (a parody of Undertale), for example, he voices almost all the characters in certain endings to emphasize the absurd and chaotic atmosphere. His voice actor roles are not limited to dialogue; often the comedy depends on how vocally expressive he can be—even nonverbal sounds become character traits. This makes his style very distinctive within online animation.

Sr. Pelo voice actor Catching Up

  • Mokey’s Show: Parody series where he voices characters such as Mokey, Grooby, Dilan, and Momi.
  • Spooky Month: Annual Halloween series featuring Skid and Pump.
  • Underpants: An Undertale parody with heavy reliance on his chaotic voice acting.
  • Pelo Talks / Pelo Habla: Shorter comedic commentaries voiced by himself.
  • Catching Up: Animated web series in which Sr. Pelo voices the character Cool Cat.

Collaboration with Other Creators

He has worked with or appeared alongside other online animators and creators. Some of his characters, like Skid and Pump, have been featured in Friday Night Funkin’, which is a collaboration with the indie game community and Newgrounds culture. He also dubs roles in other creators’ web series and animations, such as his work in Catching Up and additional dubbing projects.

Creating and voicing many characters by oneself can be demanding. The intensity of his voice acting roles – shrieks, sudden shifts – can be vocally straining. Parodying well – known characters requires balancing originality and recognizability. Over time, Sr. Pelo has grown from simple Flash animations to polished web series with larger production values.

Future Projects and Expectations

Fans expect Sr. Pelo to continue expanding into more collaborative web series roles, additional dubbing projects, and potentially larger animation productions. His involvement in Catching Up shows his growing participation in voice actor roles beyond his own channel. He may explore new genres and expand his creative reach in the future.
