Marissa Lenti started performing in theater at age 8 and was doing on-camera work by 12. In college, she studied costume design and ran a side business making costumes and dolls — money she saved to fund her move from Boston to Texas specifically to break into voice acting. Once there, she attended Haberkon, connected with ADR director Tyler Walker at Funimation, and landed her first English dub credits: Tokyo ESP, followed by her first named character, Libra in Fairy Tail.
Her first lead role was Chiaki Hoshinomori in Gamers!, which put her on the map as a recognizable dubbing voice. From there, her credits expanded steadily across anime and games.
Notable Voice Performances
Her role list includes:
- Yuna in Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear
- Shoko Majima in Kokkoku
- Alicia Florence in Aria the Animation
- Nita in Brawl Stars
- Financier Cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom
She is also recognized for voicing Gangle (and Martha Mildenhall) in The Amazing Digital Circus — a role that required conveying a character whose emotional state runs beneath a literal mask metaphor. The performance leans on restraint; Gangle is expressive but not broad, and Lenti keeps the sadness readable without making it the whole character.
Directing and Studio Work
In 2016, Lenti joined Sound Cadence Studios as ADR director, scriptwriter, and production assistant. She has directed series including Kemono Friends, Kageki Shōjo!!, and Arte. Her studio credits span Funimation, Sentai Filmworks, and Bang Zoom! Entertainment.
A commercial she voiced for Janux won a Gold ADDY Award in 2014 — one of the earlier markers of her professional standing outside anime dubbing.
Voice Style
Lenti's range runs from warm and energetic (Yuna in Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear) to quieter and emotionally grounded (Gangle, Alicia Florence in Aria). Her theatrical background comes through in how she handles scene work — she tends to play the character's emotional state rather than just the line, which suits the more narrative-focused roles in her catalog.
Current and Upcoming Projects
Marissa continues to take on anime, game, and web animation work. Recent and upcoming credits include:
- Pulchra Fellini in Zenless Zone Zero (2025)
- Herminia in Octopath Traveler 0 (2025)
- Bridget in BOOM! Buster (announced)
Her role as Gangle in The Amazing Digital Circus is ongoing as of 2025.
