Cory Crater (born January 22, 1995, in the United States) began his journey in the world of gaming content creation at a young age. He started out producing machinimas and gameplay videos, eventually launching the YouTube channel NewScapePro (short for NewScape Productions) on November 20, 2008.
In 2008, Cory signed up with Machinima.com to create videos, including narrative and Easter-egg content for Call of Duty and other games. By 2011, he was producing story-driven content featured on the Machinima main page. Later, in 2015, Cory joined Sky Media in Seattle and collaborated with creators like Skydoesminecraft on machinima renditions of Roommates, Maze Runner, and Minecraft High School / University. During this period, he also developed the Minecraft Fallout series.
Founding NewScape Studios: From Apartment Recordings to YouTube Empire
Initially, NewScapePro was a solo venture, with Cory producing machinima content from his apartment between 2008 and 2016. In 2017, the brand became incorporated as NewScape Productions Inc., with Cory securing an office and hiring his first employees. In 2019, the team relocated to Austin, Texas, rebranded as NewScape Studios Inc., and continued to expand with new hires and creative ventures.
Iconic Voice Roles in GameToons and NewScape Productions
Cory has lent his distinctive voice to numerous animated characters, particularly in GameToons productions. His most iconic role is Mr. Cheese, featured in Among Us Logic. Other notable roles include Not-Orange, Sapnap, Mr. Spider, Sheriff Toadster, and Raddy across various GameToons series.
Beyond GameToons, Cory has performed several roles in FilmToons parodies, portraying Voldemort, Captain Jack Sparrow, and Dustin Henderson.
Meta Runner: Expanding into Web Series Voice Acting
In addition to his work with GameToons and NewScape Studios, Cory Crater also contributed his voice to the animated web series Meta Runner, produced by SMG4. The show, centered around a futuristic world where professional video gaming is everything, gave Cory the chance to expand his range into a high-quality scripted production, further cementing his reputation as a versatile and adaptive voice actor in the online animation space.

Cory is the founder, CEO, and creative strategist of NewScape Studios. He manages multiple channels — NewScapePro Minecraft, Fortnite Shorts, Films and Skits, NewScapeGames, NewScapeDos, SCP Animated — overseeing both creative direction and production.
NewScape Studios continues to grow, producing Fortnite machinimas, SCP animations, and Nerf live-action content. With Cory at the helm, the studio has become a multi-channel empire producing animated parodies, games, and original series.
